I’m a big fan of going OVER THE TOP when it comes to food.
If I’m going to take the time to make a dish to serve up then you better believe I’m going to season it well (that means being generous with sea salt!) and top it off with something special to take not only the presentational but the FLAVOR and ENJOYMENT to a higher level.
While every dish is unique, it’s good to have a savory topping and a sweet topping up your sleeve.
For savory dishes, I’m known to cube avocado, drench it in fresh lemon juice and sprinkle it with my fave spices (ground cumin+sweet paprika+granulated garlic+sea salt) and then throw that on top of any number of savory dishes - from pizza to lasagna to salad.
Sweet recipes can be trickier since most sweet toppings are full of sugar, which I always want to limit.
UNTIL THIS RECIPE! This is the most simple, high-protein, low-sugar topping that makes me just as happy as whipped cream :)
1 cup Plain, unsweetened Greek Yogurt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Swerve Confectioners Style
Combine all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Whisk with a fork until creamy and fully incorporated. Serve immediately or store in the fridge until serving. Enjoy!
