Ketchup is a staple in most kitchens.

What you may not know is that most ketchup brands contain high fructose corn syrup as one of the main ingredients. Some also have MSG and gluten.

Making your own ketchup is easy and fun, not to mention wholesome and flavorful!

Serves 16

1 tablespoon olive oil

5 large organic tomatoes

1 red onion, peeled and cut into 4

1 jalapeno (optional!)

3 ounces tomato paste

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 packet stevia in the raw

1 tablespoon dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 handful cilantro, leaves only


Heat a grill pan on high (or outdoor grill).


Rub the olive oil on the tomatoes, onion and jalapeno. Grill until charred.


Throw all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend.
