About

Sounds too good to be true, right?! Protein donut holes....

This recipe is a fun way to treat yourself while maintaining your fitness lifestyle and fat loss results.

I highly recommend dipping these protein donut holes in a hot cup of coffee or tea, as they do get a bit dry. Another really delicious idea would be to stuff these donut holes with the cooked apple mixture found in these baked donut holes. That would add flavor, texture and moisture to the center of the donut holes.

Serves 16

1 tablespoon coconut flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 teaspoons apple pie spice

3 eggs

½ teaspoon Lemon Zest

2 tablespoons coconut oil

coconut oil spray

Sugar Topping

1 tablespoon coconut sugar

sea salt

Directions
1

In a mixing bowl combine the protein powder, coconut flour, baking powder and apple pie spice. Mix until fully combined. Mix in the eggs and lemon zest. Mix in the coconut oil until a kneadable dough forms. Sprinkle in additional coconut flour as needed to create a dough that is kneadable and not too sticky.

2

Place the dough on a cutting board and knead for 10 seconds. Divide the dough into 16 pieces and roll into balls. The balls will be about 1 Tablespoon of dough each.

3

Spray an air fryer basket evenly with coconut oil. Place the dough balls in an even layer in the air fryer basket and spray the tops with coconut oil.

4

Air fry at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.

5

Roll the donut holes in the coconut sugar and sprinkle with salt. Enjoy!
