Here’s a tasty little mustard sauce that’s quick to whip together and is just right for sprucing up roasted chicken or other meats. I love the tangy notes of the mustard, plus the sweet addition of orange juice. I chose to simmer this sauce in a pan and then blend it, to soften up the onion and then even out the texture. If you would like to save time feel free to just mince that onion really fine and mix it all together in a bowl, without the simmering or blending. Both methods work. Enjoy!
½ cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
⅛ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
¼ cup onion, minced
Combine the mustard glaze ingredients in a small pot over low heat. Simmer, stirring often, for 3 minutes. Cool slightly, then place the glaze in a high speed blender and combine. Enjoy!
