There’s nothing quite as cozy and comforting as a mug of hot chocolate sipped on a cold day. However, most hot chocolate recipes are full of SUGAR that’s going to get you off track with your fitness results. This recipe is incredible because it uses TRULEAN whey protein, is packed full of muscle-supporting protein and is super low in sugar while still tasting like the real deal!
It’s super important that you use TRULEAN Rich Dutch Chocolate Protein in this recipe and NOT another, lesser quality brand of protein. Please, please, please don’t attempt this recipe with a lesser protein - and this goes for all of my recipes that contain protein powder. I can only vouch for using TRULEAN protein since I know every single ingredient that we put in it, and even more importantly, all of the garbage that the other brands put in that we DON’T put in our pure proteins.
1 cup almond milk
½ cup water
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
Liquid Stevia to taste
COCONUT WHIPPED CREAM - Optional topping
Whisk the ingredients together in a saucepan, except for the whipped topping.
Place over medium-low heat and whisk constantly for about 4 minutes, until it reaches your desired temperature. Be careful to not bring the mixture above 140 degrees F, or it may get clumpy.
Serve in mugs, and garnish with whipped topping. If you want it sweeter then add a few drops of liquid stevia. Enjoy!
