Salad dressing is one of those things that are easy to fall into a rut with. Like your Starbucks drink or the entree you always order at your favorite restaurant. Same old, same old.

Let’s be honest, bottled salad dressings from the shelves of your local grocery store are not the healthiest option when it comes to topping that gorgeous, green salad you just made. You took the time to put quality ingredients into the salad – fresh, organic lettuce and vegetables – so why douse it with a cocktail of chemicals, preservatives and artificial flavors? Your salad deserves more than that kind of treatment. And your taste buds will be really happy too…


Serves 6

2 tablespoons raw honey

1 packet stevia - optional

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

¼ cup olive oil

1 tablespoon dijon mustard

½ teaspoon dried basil

1 shallot, minced

Juice from 1 Lemon

salt and pepper


Directions

Combine all of the ingredients in a container. Drizzle over your salad. Enjoy!
