This time of year is all about the pumpkin spiced beverages from big chain coffee shops. While these beverages sure do taste good, they are filled with sugar and dairy that is going to add unwanted pounds and set you up for an energy crash. A medium sized pumpkin spiced latte has nearly 400 calories, 13 grams of fat and a whopping 51 carbs. But don’t fret, I’ve come up with a wholesome recipe that delivers all the pumpkin spice flavor that you’ll ever need 🙂 Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
Serves 1

  • 1 frozen banana (or half if you want to save on calories and carbs)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 scoop quality vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup canned pumpkin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg and cloves
INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a high speed blender and mix until smooth. Serve immediately.
