Low Carb Green Smoothie

These greens will cleanse and refresh your body.

There are days that call for the cleansing power of greens –you know what I’m talking about.

Q: When is a Skinny Margarita not really Skinny? A: When it's served in a bowl.

I’ve been traveling the past couple of weeks. First it was Palm Springs for a family Father’s Day celebration, and then it was down to San Diego for Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulence Training Summit.

Both trips were really great, with plenty of time spent with family and friends.

And lots of meals eaten out…and more than my share of wine and crusty bread rolls.

Now that I’m back home it’s time for some detox with this low carb green smoothie.

Here’s what you need for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1Tablespoon almond butter
  • 1/4 cup wheat grass
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 scoop high quality, low carb chocolate protein
  • 1 inch slice of banana
  • Optional pinch of Stevia
  • 1/2 cup ice
  1. Combine all the ingredients in your high speed blender then blend on high for a full minute, or until the tiny pieces of spinach have disappeared and the smoothie turns a brilliant shade of green.

Woke up at 5am in Palm Springs to work off that 'skinny' Margarita...and was rewarded with this breathtaking sunrise.
