Fruity Slaw Recipe

Everyone in the family loves this salad

I love it when a recipe comes along that the whole family goes crazy for.

This simple broccoli slaw is filled with fruit and nuts and finished with a sweet vinaigrette. It’s super fast and delicious!

  • 12oz Organic Broccoli Slaw mix (Trader Joe’s); Or 12oz shredded broccoli stalks and carrots
  • 5 celery stalks, thinly sliced
  • 2 apples, chopped
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ⅛ cup dried blueberries
  • ¼ cup mango vinaigrette (Bolthouse, Tropical Mango)

  1. In a large bowl mix all of the ingredients. Serve immediately.

    For people with nut allergies, what would be a good substitute?

      Take out the walnuts and enjoy it that way. While the walnuts add a nice crunch and taste, the salad is still delicious without it!

      Use flaxseed meal, so you still get a dose of omega-3’s!!
