About

Summer has arrived in Southern California, and it’s here to stay awhile. Hot, hot, sweltering hot.

My solution to beat the heat is skinny margaritas or freshly juiced greens and summer fruit.

In that order.

So if it’s not yet 5pm, then you’ll find me juicing fresh kale, ginger and whatever juicy fruit I’ve gotten from the farmer’s market.

My peach tree is covered in baby peaches right now –just a few more weeks and the RHR kitchen will be overflowing with peachy goodness. Can’t wait!

Enjoy this refreshing summer juice and relish in the magic of freshly juiced ginger and greens. Play around with the amount of fruit and ginger that you add with the bunch of kale. If you like spicy juice, like I do, then use a big piece of ginger. And of course for sweeter juice simply use more fruit. Enjoy!

Serves 2

1 bunch kale

1 inch Ginger Root

1 Peach or nectarine

Directions
1

Wash and chop the kale and fruit. Run everything through a juicer. Drink immediately!
