Green Power Smoothie 2.0
Since creating the Green Power Smoothie a few months ago my morning recipe has slowly evolved. I’ve reduced the sweetness and have increased the nutrient content — the result is a mouth-watering smoothie that will make your cells vibrate with green energy. The kids have gotten so used to drinking their green smoothie each morning that Chloe now comes running when she hears the blender, yelling, “I want my green snooozie!”
Here’s what you need:
- 2-3 bananas
- 1 cup rice or nut milk (try almond, brazil or pecan)
- spoonful of Raw Almond butter
- scoop of Raw Hemp protein
- scoop of Raw Cacao powder
- sprinkle of Spirulina (this blue-green algae is a complete protein and is filled with B12 and other good stuff)
- handful of Wheat Grass (just cut it, rinse it and throw it in, no need to juice it)
- 1-2 cups Spinach leaves
- 2-3 large Kale leaves
- Optional: scoop of ice (I like my smoothies cold, but the kids don’t so I add the ice after pouring their cups)
- Throw everything into a high speed blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Enjoy!

thanks, I will try this. I recently adopted the RAW FOOD way of eating and am feeling so great. Your blog will be a great resource for raw recipes. Thanks.
I will try this soon!
I can’t wait Diane to try this out! I just asked the Universe for a ‘Green Drink Recipe’ the other day. I was browsing the internet today and found yours by fluke. I am going out first thing tomorrow and trying it out. If all goes well; I will suggest it to all of my clients. Keep on creating! Thank you.
Sincerely,
Carol Collin
