Going Raw, Day 2

By lunchtime Andrew was back to his chipper self
Day 2 started badly.
At 3:30am Andrew came into our room and reacquainted us with his Raw food dinner…all over the carpet.
Note to self: Don’t feed the kids Raw food.
In all fairness he had been a bit under the weather before eating out at the Raw food restaurant, but still when he looked up at me and said in a shaky little voice, “Mom, I don’t ever want to eat raw poison mushroom again”, well that made my heart hurt.
So Andrew gets a pass on the Raw food experiment.

Raw breakfast of champions
When I got out of bed in the morning, after only a couple hours of interrupted sleep, I was hoping that the Raw food living energy would kick in.
While there was no bounce in my step, I felt very empty and light.
I couldn’t resist getting on the scale and was surprised to see my weight down by 2 pounds.
Here was the menu for today:
I spent a fair amount of time preparing meals today and am definately looking forward to having leftovers tomorrow.
One thing I noticed was how much I appreciated each prepared meal, since it does take more effort than usual. Made me want to eat it slow and savor each flavor.
Oh and I went on Amazon and purchased a dehydrator. All the cool raw recipes call for one!
